I asked him if he knew of the second waterfall, and he didn't remember seeing a path beyond the first waterfall. After a bit of looking around, we found a footpath that led to the top of the Fukugawa I and then a bit beyond, before finally leading to the river itself.

We were able to hike/boulder along the river without getting wet at all. Quite a few trees are down, but nothing to prevent you from reaching the second falls other than a bit of maneuvering over a different substrate. We both had water sandals, and agree that something with good traction is a requirement. Bugs weren't too bad at all, and we hiked comfortably in shorts and t-shirts. I found a few places that looked like trails along the river to the second falls, but these paths were very narrow and I did not have a stick to assist me in the more vegetated areas. Definitely agree with the OP on this: stick to the river and you'll be great!

I can't wait to try this in warmer weather when getting wet is part of the fun! Thank you for drawing attention to this adventure.erinAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03408030560695428327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4701837450567381953.post-85533603366064108242012-08-29T04:34:43.352-07:002012-08-29T04:34:43.352-07:00David,
